York Food Festival
The York Food Festival is designed with foodies in mind. This ten day event features local food. It aims at helping farmers and encouraging others to buy their food locally.
Events Taking Place
There will be a lot of events occurring during the York Food Festival. There will be hands-on workshops that allow attendees to really become one with their food. School aged children will also have the opportunity to take part in these sessions as well. Chefs will provide cooking demonstrations that even novice chefs can easily make at home. For those that like a good wine, there will be wine tastings that feature a wide variety of wines to sample. Individuals can also take a class from a gardener where they can learn how to grow their own food. By far one of the most enticing things about this festival is the Sampling Stand. This stand features samples from different vendors that are being highlighted that day. Each day thereâ??s a new eatery that will be showcasing food from their establishment in hopes that tasters will like it enough to purchase their food in the future.
Festival Information
The York Food Festival is set to take place from September 19-28th. One of the best things about this festival is that it is free to get into. The money saved on tickets can be used to buy items at the market or attend workshops that have a small entrance fee.
